How it works:
Create a free account and start posting your garden extras, baked goods, or homemade items to the Neighborhood Goods marketplace.
Set your location, choose how you’d like to be contacted (WhatsApp or email), and let your neighbors know what you’ve got.When someone reaches out, you decide how to trade — swap for something they offer, or set a price if that feels right.
No fees, no middlemen — just neighbor-to-neighbor exchange.Not ready to post? That’s okay too!

HOW TO USE THIS APP:
The first screen you should see when you download the app is the welcome screen: Here you choose "sign up" for new users, Which will take you to the sing up screen. Or if you have signed up before choose the "already have an account" button, which will take you to the login screen.
Sign Up: This Screen will ask you for a couple of details, your name, user name you want shown, your email and password. Or if you want to use up using your google account, choose that option.
Once you click the "sign up" button you should be taken to the legal terms screen, once you check the box at the bottom of the page, the continue button will appear. If you do not click the box, you will not be able to continue. Upon successful signup you should be able to proceed to the next screen which will have you fill in a couple more user settings. The first screen is the same as your sign up info except for a couple additional details.
WhatApp: If you use whatsapp, interested parties may contact you through whatsapp. You just have to enter your phone number in the proper format (1780xxxxxxx) No dashes or spaces and the country code has to be included for it to work properly.
Location: please do not put your address in this box, it is for approximate area in the city. You can use your community name or simply north, east, downtown ect.
Profile photo: You can upload any photo for the profile, but we like people to use their own image to keep users easily recognizable when trading.
Additional info: Under the profile picture, you have the option to include any other details about what items you might be listing.
Trade Interests: The box under that is if you are only interested in trading, what you are wanting. For example if you are selling home baked bread and will swap for home made jam, this is where you enter what goods you will take in exchange for yours. If you do not plan on trading just leave blank. There is an option when you post a listing to put a dollar value.
Last, click the 2 boxes to enable email and whatsapp notifications. Then click "save" and you will be on the home screen.
You should also receive and confirmation email upon successful sign up, welcoming you to the app.
Home Screen: This is where everything you need in this app is. On this screen you can add new listings, look at items in the market place, update your settings, review the legal terms, or log out
List an Item: +add new listing: So to list an item follow these steps 1) Take a photo of the item. 2) enter a title or name of the item, 3) In the description include any info like includes walnuts, or gluten free, or ingredients 4) upload the image 5) enter your approximate location like sherwood park or clairview. 6) the date and time you are posting make sure the time on the screen isn't 5 mins ago, it wont save. 6) if you are open to trading, check the box. 7) if you have a set value for the item enter it here to the nearest dollar. Then click "create listing" and it will be posted to the marketplace.
Marketplace: This is where all the items go. This is a public marketplace. If you see something you are interested in, click the photo and you will be taken to a screen called "item detail" this will give you more info on the item. You will be able to see if the person who posted it is open to trades or the cost of the item to buy. You can contact the poster via email. The whatsapp button will only appear if the poster put a valid whatapp number in their profile and wants to use it as a method of contact. Please be courteous when communicating. Include your name, that you saw an item on the neighborhood goods app an would like to discuss quantity, trades etc. Include all relevant info. Please report any abuse or suspicious activity to our team at [email protected] we want to keep this a safe, fun place for everyone. Users using this platform for anything other than its intended use.. Those violating any policies will be removed from the platform.
My Listings: Go to My Listings to see what you've posted. You can delete items, but not edit them yet
Editing Listings (Important):
To fix an error right now: Delete the item and repost. Editing feature coming in a future update
Settings: From the home screen you can change or update any of your settings.
Delete Account: This is a new app so this option will be available on the home screen in the future, but until then if you want to remove your account, or have any issues, or want to report and issue please use our support email at [email protected] Please allow 24 hours for a reply.
